Judiciary Transfers Registrars and Magistrates
The Chief Registrar, His Worship Paul Gadenya

Kampala. A total of 28 Judicial Officers at the ranks of Registrars and Magistrates have been transferred in a fairly huge shake up aimed at improving service delivery in the justice sector. The Chief Registrar, His Worship Paul Gadenya, who is the immediate supervisor of all Registrars and Magistrates said in his letter dated December 23, 2016 that the transfers take effect from January 1, 2017.

Explaining the reasons for the transfers, H/W Gadenya says the officers are among those who have overstayed at their stations (more than two years), promoting better relations between the Judiciary and stakeholders especially with the JLOS community and district authorities. Other reasons include; improving service delivery, filing positions in the recently created High Court circuits and replacing retired ones.
